Alphabet Drills – H: Agility dog training

Today we did a few of the H drills from Nancy Gyes’s book called Alphabet drills. I was surprised at how difficult the H drills were! We all struggled through the get out part on the very first drill, so I angled the jump inward to help my dogs understand what I was asking of them. The next time I go to the field, I will work on more get outs. This was a challenge, but fun. It was 90 degrees out, so we did not do that much, but we had fun.
I have also taken Twix to his full jump height. I wish that he was small enough to be in the 16 inch class, but I have a feeling he will be a 20 incher! 
No worries, he will be ready when the time comes!
Isabelle spent the entire afternoon at the field searching for critters. They were all so excited to see the turkey’s, but the turkey’s did not stick around once the dogs were on the field. Can’t blame them!
